Thrust hard enough to resist…

Back from college to home, I was with my friends on the train. Suddenly, I heard my friend, Moupiya, screaming – “Mayukh, come here! Look a storm is getting cooked up”. I rushed to witness the scene when the enigmatic natural powers took their brushes and paints out to draw the first layout of a storm.

The playful air carrying dust particles, leaves seemed to be racing in a marathon. They were desperate but for what I actually don’t know. I wonder were they desperate to win or do they wanted to flaunt their powers? Anyways! Many a times, no light reaches beneath the hood.

Standing near the door of the train, I was placed in a position where I felt myself trapped inside a triangle made of immense impelling-wind coming from all the three sides. The strength jolted me. Meanwhile, the evening sky transformed and dark dense clouds appeared to form. Thunder lightning began to crack the sky illuminating the clouds.

We were deliberately waiting to rain. Then, two or four drops and I could smell petrichor. The aroma of the wet earth absorbed me. I was taking deep breathes in and out. I was feeling as if all toxins of my body was getting killed. I became lighter and lighter.

Nothing can be much more reviving, relieving and blissful than having yourself placed in the midst of nature and its activities.

And, this is how I find peace, fun and love.
